Business Signal Starter

Before something becomes obvious, there are often signs that have already begun to repeat.

Important things in a business rarely arrive with a clear warning. Sometimes they first appear through things we have become too used to seeing.

Business Signal Starter helps you look before you conclude: record what actually happened, notice what repeats, compare different days, and identify what deserves closer attention next.

You do not need to find what is wrong yet. Start by noticing what happens on an ordinary day.

Free PDF. About a 5-minute read. After that, you can continue with Quick Signal Scan.

START WITH WHAT ACTUALLY HAPPENED

You Don’t Need to Find What Is Wrong Yet.

Signal Starter begins with one simple discipline: notice what actually happened before deciding what it means.

01

Record what actually happened.

Look at enquiries, orders, returning customers, tasks still waiting for the owner, and other things that actually happened during an ordinary day.

02

Look again.

When you look at the record a second time, things that appeared more than once begin to stand out.

03

Don’t stop at one day.

One day can be shaped by a particular situation. Compare different days to see what continues to appear.

04

A signal is not a conclusion.

Repetition tells you what deserves a closer look. It does not yet explain why something is happening.

Signal Starter takes you through a short observation process: begin with what happened, then notice what repeats before choosing what deserves attention next.

01

What actually happened today?

Start by recording what truly happened without looking for the reason behind it yet.

02

What repeats?

Look again and mark what happened more than once.

03

What still shows up across different days?

Compare different days so a single event is not treated as a pattern too quickly.

04

Start with one thing.

Use the 60-Second Note to choose one recurring observation and write down what you still do not know about it.

START WITH ONE THING

Notice What Has Started to Repeat.
